The Fin Club logo is a design symbolizing the world of finance and money from the Indian perspective. A scratch at the surface would reveal this to be a simple and an aesthetic design containing the abbreviations of the letters comprising the word “Finance Club”. However, go deeper and you will find that there is more here than meets the eye at first gaze – the “F” of the logo is not an “F” but in reality is “Ra” – the symbol of the Indian rupee – the 5th currency symbol in the world. That “F” is contained in a bigger “C” is also symbolic in an altogether different way – that this is the logo of the Finance Club of Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta regarded by many as the premier campus for studies in finance among all B-schools in the country.
