Fin Club successfully organized Fintelligence
The Event Vertical of Fin Club successfully organized its first event “Fintelligence ” . The event had 2 rounds.
Round 1 consisted of one crossword which tested very basic fin/economy based knowledge and a set of 10 questions which were fin related with a tinge of glamour, making it a bit more interesting.
Round 2 was designed to introduce them to the world of finance: how stock prices of firms move wrt to the firm news/Q Earning announcements and how firms in different sectors react to the same.
The brief outline of the event was:
- TASK: To Manage an Investment Portfolio: Each Team would be given a corpus of INR 10,000 to begin with. There will be a team of PGP2’s, called HNI X,who would have a corpus of INR 5 crs
- Market Responsiveness Game: Information Provided at the beginning of each round: Company news, Share price, other news
- What next: Based on the news & info provided, team has to invest certain money in any one of the companies
- Market Outlook: The market would move according to the investment made by HNI X which would cover how the market usually moves in different scenarios, what are the factors governing the same etc.
The event was conducted in the Fin Lab and was appreciated by the PGP1s. 3 winners emerged out finally.
The event was handled by Kunal A, Anish K, Abhishek V, Anchal A and Adrit M.
We plan to organise 2 more events in the next sem apart from the events under the banner of various firms.
