The club conducts a host of events throughout a year. Check back this space for upcoming events for the year.
Some of the events conducted by the club in the past year include:
Workshop on Financial Modeling
As a part of the pre-internship preparation series, we conducted a two-day workshop by Mr. Paramdeep Singh from Pristine Careers. It covered the basic aspects of Financial Modeling.
Bloomberg Training Session
This training session on Bloomberg was conducted by Mr. P. Srikant in the Finance Lab. It familiarized students with the basic interface of a Bloomberg terminal and how to make use of some Bloomberg functions. It was attended by both PGP1s and PGP2s.
Introductory Session on Forex Markets
This session, conducted by Mr. Vaidyanathan was meant to give an overview of FX markets in particular and the Investment Banking world in general to the first year students right before their internships began.
CNN-IBN Budget Blog
We worked in coordination with the External Relation Secretaries to publish online blogs for CNN-IBN on the upcoming budget for a continuous period of about 3 weeks.
Collaboration with Tepper School of Business, CMU
We collaborated with the Tepper School of Business to distribute a weekly magazine: Bulls & Bears. It covered the highlights of happenings in the global financial markets as well as a number of student articles.
